ESC enjoys the DTSP 2016 Sunscreen Film Festival. Tonight, Thursday April 28, 2016, was the opening night of the 11th Annual Sunscreen Film Festival, one where I and my venue NOVA 535 have sponsored since the beginning. So tonight as my fellow Entrepreneurs gathered here at NOVA, for our weekly meeting, I informed them we were going on a field trip. Just around the corner to the Palladium, to enjoy the red carpet and the opening night Film, “Spare Parts“. The carpet was electric, the film charming and delightful. Spare Parts is what all film makers try to accomplish – a film (and story) with heart! We cared about the characters and their struggles. We laughed and cried. We cringed and cheered. What a wonderful film to have shared with my fellow Entrepreneurs – a film about Mexican and Mexican American kids, who were “troubled” each in their own way, that found a bond of friendship and mutual respect via a underwater robotics challenge. Spare parts was based on a true story, and that story and film are certainly worth your time – enjoy it and, you’re welcome!
Above is the beautiful venue the Palladium where the Red Carpet and Opening Night Film “Spare Parts” was held.
Below is a proud moment, as my wedding and event venue NOVA 535 Unique Event Space is showcased as one of the SSFF premier sponsors! On stage are SSFF founders and my long time pals, Dwight Cenac II and our current County Film Commissioner (I love calling Tony “Mr Commissioner” and kid about genuflecting or kissing his ring – haha) Tony Armer.
Above is Tampa Bay’s #1 DJ, Doug Hensel, aka DJ Fresh, not only a long time good friend and brother from another mother, but a superstar human being. OF COURSE it was DJ Fresh mixing up the Red Carpet beats!
Tonight in attendance was left to right: Nick De Stefano, Jim Patterson “Mr. no business card aviation Guy” (who is really funny), newcomer Nancy Walsh, behind her is partially hidden Henry Steffes Jr, LMT, the hilarious Julie Haddad, me in purple stripes and the delightful Cynthia Bloss of OnTaskConcierge. Not pictured here were superstar bookkeeper Krystle Pinzker Fluent Bookkeeping and Mr. Chocolat Cake himself Emmanuel Roux of GateauOChocolat.
