It’s another beautiful Thursday night, March 16, 2017, here in lovely downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, what we locals call DTSP. We’re gathering at our gorgeous, historic HQ, St. Pete’s 5-Star wedding and event venue NOVA 535. Where our weekly ritual has taken place since 2009, when the Entrepreneur Social Club, aka ESC, was founded. And Trademarked. So if you are considering creating a social club for Entrepreneurs, be original and find your own name. Dorks!! (Side rant.) Anywho, here we gather to laugh and cry, to share our successes and failures. Plus we enjoy some cocktails from our lovely master bartender Vanessa, and get in some good ol’ fashion networking. When the timing is just right, we enjoy some Entrepreneurial Magic.

Tonight, Thursday March 2, 2017, here in beautiful Downtown St. Pete, Florida, was an extra special night for the Entrepreneur Social Club. We were celebrating several successes, including Authors, Alleys and the HSN Drip Krown. Our authors are Daniel Nyiri, owner of 4U-Fitness (below), who along with Stephanie Wynn, are publishing their first books. Congrats! We’ll get into the alley later…. as to other success story of the night it’s from Don “Drip Krown” Kobasky. Don is our infamous high-impact oil on canvas painter turned inventor. Don had to grind it out, using his “never say never, never give up” Brooklyn, NY attitude. Tooth, nail and perseverance was required to get himself on the air at our local King Kong network HSN. Bravo to Daniel, Stephanie and Don!!

Tonight is a spectacularly gorgeous “winter” evening, another near perfect Thursday here in sunny St. Pete, Florida. I’m gearing up for our weekly Entrepreneur Social Club, HQed at my historic wedding and event venue NOVA 535, which happens to be turning 9 years old today! Happy Birthday to Team NOVA!! So much love, passion, tears, hard work, sweat and real $$ equity went into building NOVA 535 out of the ‘ashes’ of a doggie day care and out of about 80 years of bad design decisions. I purchased 535 in the fall of 2005 and we opened February 8, 2009. Wow how time flies! And how tonight we discover and enjoy Octopus Bacon and Boats you Just Cannot Flip!

Tonight, Thursday January 26, 2017, as our delightful bartender Vanessa enjoys some sin city with her friends, I add to my roles that of Bartender. Luckily, not the first or even 100th time, so we’re in good shape. Not as good when she is around (don’t leave us Vanessa!) but we’ll survive! And yes Art, you can have another Vodka and Soda, just let me put my camera down!
French Accents Hard Science and Sushi Galore!
Thursday, January 12, 2016 heralds our weekly gathering with the Entrepreneur Social Club, AKA the ESC. We have been meeting every Thursday, sans any major holidays like Thanksgiving, since January 2009. In the light of a wedding being on schedule for tonight at our DTSP headquarters, historic wedding and event venue NOVA 535, we are offsite for ESC. So we ventured to Suozou Asian Fusion Restaurant to enjoy French Accents Hard Science and Sushi Galore, at 435 5th Avenue North. Call them at 727-823-4050, they are fabulous!
Attendance sometimes dips when we are offsite, and I use the time when I’m sitting there alone waiting for our members for a moment of introspection. For instance, I think: Why are you doing this Michael? Who will show tonight? As I organize my laptop and get my Cannon 6D ready, I ponder what the ESC means to me… Why every Thursday I spend my valuable time and energy on my “charity”, a free social club focused on helping and mentoring my fellow Entrepreneurs.

Our 9th Nova Noel
This week it was feeling a lot like the Holidays, a desire to be relaxed coupled with a bit of extra craziness… and that’s because it was time for our annual Holiday party, our 9th Nova Noel! Of course it was held at Entrepreneur Social Club‘s headquarters, NOVA 535, in beautiful Downtown St. Pete. The decorations and atmosphere were simply exploding with festive vibes, and we were loving all of it.
