On Thursday April 9, 2015 we gathered once again at my 1920 historic yet modern wedding and event venue NOVA 535 Unique Event Space, here in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Last Thursday April 2nd we took a break from the productive meeting side of the Entrepreneur Social Club, affectionately called the ESC, to enjoy a birthday party in honor of NOVA 535 which turned a lucky 7, myself turning 47 and my longtime pal Mario turned the big 50. We’ve been meeting weekly since 2009, to learn, laugh, listen, help, party, share, grow ourselves and our businesses, all while helping those around us AND avoiding religion and politics, which are both strictly forbidden by club rules. See that’s why even when we argue, we still get along. Genius!
A new member suggested we try SAZON for dinner, which about 10 of us did, and wow was the Spanish food delicious! We’ll definitely be back for more.

Then I asked everyone to share a lesson…
(3) Share a lesson
Wear a condom,
before you send and email out make sure it’s ready to be sent,
check the math,
every client / prospect is unique – don’t carry your baggage from past, be empathetic,
stick to your core competency – delegate everything else
ignore negative people
Sleep is very important
You can lead a client to knowledge, you can’t make them think
Consulting – it’s your job to get your clients to “get it right”
Difference between listening and hearing
NONPROFIT Never let any entity do anything “on behalf of your company / agency” – without being in the middle of it – reviewing it – be involved in the process
Connect with someone person – get to KNOW, then LIKE, then TRUST them… don’t get SPAM them
If an “Expert” cannot explain it to you in a way that you understand – true experts can explain it clearly
And finally before we left for dinner , we discussed
(4) the Internet of Things (IoE)
There is a BOOK – Future Crimes that I’m reading now and it’s a MUST READ..
from IPv4 = Internet Protocol Version 4 (4.3 billion separate network addresses)
increasing from 32 bit length “phone number” to 128 bits
to Version 6 which will add so many TRILLION new addresses that every atom on our planet could have a unique address and still have enough for 100+ more earths
Hacking everything – cars, appliances, wifi, phones, GPS, cameras, as none of them have much and certainly not STRONG security
RFID chips in EVERYTHING
WE didn’t dig too deep are our Tech Guru Chris Jenkins was absent, but I wanted to properly alarm everyone that once everything is connected, EVERYTHING CAN BE HACKED. Unfortunately there are many evil people / organizations on our planet, and we the Entrepreneurs must help and educate our fellow humans so we survive and thrive AS A SPECIES.
Until next Thursday, keep smiling and making progress every day!
I’m Michael Novilla and I love throwing great parties and weddings. So as I traveled the world, I explored and brought amazing ideas home to St. Petersburg, Florida and built us a world-class venue, NOVA 535 Unique Event Space. I wanted to give back to my community so I founded the Entrepreneur Social Club, and host it every Thursday 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, most always right here at NOVA 535 in gorgeous downtown St. Pete.
