Tony Michaelides has an irrefutable reputation achieved from over thirty years in the music industry where his portfolio reads like a who’s who of the music industry. With a stellar cast of clients that include David Bowie, U2, REM, Genesis, Dave Matthews, Bob Marley, Depeche Mode, Happy Mondays, Matchbox Twenty, The Police, The Pixies, New Order, The Stone Roses, Massive Attack, Neneh Cherry, Annie Lennox, Whitney Houston, Take That, Natalie Imbruglia, P. Diddy, Elvis Costello, Genesis, Peter Gabriel…. the list goes on.
Tony’s has worked with BMG, Island Records, A and M Records, Transatlantic, Mute, Circa, Factory Records and also with such industry giants as Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell.
He presented his own specialist music radio show for over a decade on Piccadilly Key 103 Radio in Manchester which is where he founded and ran his own company TMP; one of the most successful promotions companies in the UK for over 20 years. TMP acted as consultants to Warner Chappell in LA and Atlantic Records in New York. In the late 90’s Tony was the publicist responsible for all press, radio, and television for David Bowie’s ‘Earthing’ tour.
Tony moved to the USA after being granted his Green Card as an ‘Alien of Extraordinary Ability,’ a prestigious accolade awarded to those who have reached ‘the pinnacle of excellence in the field of endeavor’ and awarded to a select few in the music and arts.
In late 2010 Tony Michaelides was appointed as the Chief Evangelist for Magic Leap ( full title, ‘Chief Evangelist, Zen Master, Head of the School of Cool.) Magic Leap are the multi-million dollar Google Inc. funded digital media and technology company described as ‘ probably the most important private tech company in the USA today’. Magic Leap develops and delivers proprietary content through it’s unique Sensory Wear technology platform; a vision of social cinematic experiences through collective imagination.
